Computerized paint matching and a booth we built ourselves. Every color is sprayed out and checked against your car in daylight before it touches a panel. This is the part of the job Jonathan cares about most.

What is included
Painting is the whole job
Bodywork decides whether a panel is straight. Paint decides whether anybody can tell it was ever damaged.
Computerized color matching
Your paint code is the starting point, not the answer. Sun, age and previous repairs move a color, so it gets read off your actual car.
Spray-out test cards
The mixed color goes on a card first and gets compared against your panel in daylight. If it is off, the formula is adjusted and tested again.
Blending into adjacent panels
New color is carried into the neighboring panels instead of stopping at a seam, so there is no edge for your eye to find.
Full resprays and color changes
Whole-car work, including door jambs and under the hood when the job calls for it. Half a color change looks worse than none.

Controlled air, filtered intake and consistent lighting. Dust in the clear coat is not something you polish out later.
Cut and polish
Finishing the surface so the reflection runs straight, rather than leaving orange peel and calling it factory texture.

How the color gets right

Read the color off your car
Paint code first, then a reading from a clean section of the actual panel, because a fifteen-year-old red is not the red in the book.

Prep and block sanding
Primer, guide coat and block sanding until the surface is flat. Almost all of the labor in a good paint job happens before any color is sprayed.

Spray out and compare
Test card in daylight against your car. This step is why our matches hold up, and it is the first step cheap shops skip.

Paint in the booth
Base, then clear, in a controlled environment. Nothing gets sprayed outside the booth, ever.

Cut, polish and inspect
Finished under proper lighting and checked from several angles before the car goes back to you.

About paint
Why is a cheap paint job cheap?
Because of what gets skipped, and almost none of it is the paint itself. Cheap jobs mask over trim instead of removing it, skip the door jambs, skip block sanding, and spray a single coat of clear. The car looks good in the lot and then fails: the edges peel, the clear goes flat after a couple of Florida summers, and the color no longer matches the panels that were not sprayed. You are not buying paint, you are buying the hours before the paint.
Do you sand the car before painting it?
Always, and it is more than a scuff. Depending on the job the panel gets sanded back, primed, guide-coated and block sanded so the surface is genuinely flat before color goes near it. Spraying over an unsanded panel gives you paint that has nothing to grip and a surface that shows every wave underneath, because gloss magnifies whatever it is sitting on.
Which colors are hardest to match?
Silvers and light metallics are the classic problem, because the flake has to lie the same way yours does or it reads as a different color depending on where you stand. Three-stage pearls — typically whites and some reds — are harder again, since the color is built in layers and the middle layer controls the whole result. Solid black is not hard to match but it is unforgiving about everything else, because it shows every flaw underneath.
How long does a good paint job last?
In this climate, a properly prepped repaint with quality clear should still look right many years later, and the things that shorten that are UV and neglect rather than the paint. Cars that live outside in Florida sun all day, never get washed and never see wax will fade faster no matter who sprayed them. Keeping it washed and protected matters more than most people think.
